Brewers v Cardinals Plus The Friday Links

The last time we saw the Milwaukee Brewers there was a lot of this going on:

But time marches on and the Brewers have re-grouped from a flat NLCS performance, both Pujols and Fielder play on different teams in different leagues and the champs are already in the midst of defending a championship.

It’s almost like the MLB schedule makers knew these two franchises needed some new people to commiserate with about losing franchise first baseman and decided to have a group therapy session from the jump.

It’s 2012 and the Cardinals and Brewers figure to be in the mix for the NL Central title. This opening series tilt could be important 157 games from now.  That first win is out of the way and that post Opening Day bye day is complete. It’s time to jump into the grinder and reel off 6 months of basball.
