Oh Crap, Albert Hugs the Cubs GM
Late last night on Twitter, I tossed out a couple captions for this photo of Bert and Cubs GM Jim Hendry's bro-hug embrace:
1) "Albert Gives Hugs to Charity."
2) "That Was a Fun Ride. Hope Prince Fielder Looks Good in Cardinal Red."
This is a nightmare come true. We've seen Albert be buddy-buddy with lots of players, management, celebrities, public figures and Jesus in the past, but given the circumstances - this feels a little different. Actually, a LOT different.
Then Pujols goes 4-5 against the Cubbies, which is great, but also makes the six month long knife-stab to our collective guts even more painful.
